There are a few kinks but I think it's fantastic and I can even use it with my long nails. We did have a problem with the CD which wouldn't sync with Outlook but my VZ guy is going to figure it out and fix it...in the meantime he managed to transfer all of my Contacts and photos to the Storm. I'll have to wait until after Thanksgiving for my calendar and notes, etc.
I know quite a few people are complaining but give it time...there will be occasional updates, so hang in there!

Actually, I'm a complainer now...nothing is working properly, especially the phone part. I can't get calls in my neighborhood so I'm back to my trusty 8830 until RIM gets the kinks out of this...AND I can actually type faster using my nails than using my fingers.
Oh well...and I wanted this to work for me so desperately.

Yup, two days and you find the glitches that drive you nuts.
And why should I have to work thi hard and be this patient for no guaranteed fixes?
RIM says nothing is wrong with them.
I differ....without begging.

Couldn't agree with you more PC-Assist...it's not worth all my kvetching and driving me nutz.
Another thing that I found to be a problem is that it doesn't like some of the words I like to use...for instance, see above "nutz" instead of nuts!

I came from a Treo 700w and a Verizon XV6800 and after a little bit of toying around with it I really love it. I tend to use my phone for the contacts, calendar and phone and this phone does most everything well. I am actually getting used to the qwerty key board and getting more accurate as I use it.
I have to say I was suprised regarding all the negativity.
