Does anyone know of an alternate way to get contacts from a Palm Centro to a BB Storm WITHOUT having to use Outlook? I do not have Outlook on my computer and do not want it on there either. There must be a way to do this for people that don't care to use MS products.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, that was the first thing I tried. I searched the BB support site and found that there is a problem with it and it does not work properly or something to that effect, the suggested work around was to export to CSV files using Excel and import into Outlook an sync.
I really don't want to have to use Outlook just for a one time thing and was hoping for a way to get the contacts onto my BB without having to manually reenter them all.
Thanks for you suggestion!![]()

I found this on another site. I for one am NOT willing to do it because the cost should be something that Verizon or Blackberry pays for.But thought I would post it anyway.
By a lark, I found a $25.00 application called PocketCopy by Chapura Software. It moved my contacts, calendar, tasks and notes into Outlook. I then synched the 8900 with Outlook using the BB Desktop manager and I am now a happy camper. The entire process (I had 9 years worth of data to move) took 50 minutes (I wish I could get back the hours lost from previous attempts). There is no demo version.
After searching the forum, I didn't read any mention of this software (maybe because for most the time spent on transferring information outweigh the cost???). Anyway, as I said, I wanted to give back a little something to ya'll. BTW, I gain nothing by anyone purchasing/using the software other then knowing I was able to help.

I ended up using my gmail account and loading my contacts there and then using the gmail app to transfer them to my phone. I must say, I actually like this better, as I now have a backup copy of everything on my phone. Oh, and best of all it didn't cost me a thing and I didn't have to load another Microsoft program on my computer that I would never, ever use again.
