My Podcasting software cannot download any podcasts because content encryption is turned on for my SD card. Is there a way to turn off this encription?

Re: Turning Off content encryption of SD card

Yes. Under device OS 5.0, it should be on this screen:

  • Homescreen > Options > Security Options > Encryption

Hope that helps!

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!

Well, BES policy will always win out and they can force pretty much anything. But, your "not loving" it is not really the fault of the BB...rather, it's the restrictive IT Policy placed by your organization.

Good luck!

Re: Turning Off content encryption of SD card

I don't blame RIM/BB for this any more than I blame Microsoft for allowing corporate Group Policies that make PCs unusable.

The "this" was for the user experience not the BB.

If there was a built-in "de-crypt selected files and mail them"

feature I would be comfortable (that's nearly happy) with the experience.

My policy (and that of many colleagues too) is that my corporate laptop stays in a cupboard for that very reason

- but BBerry still has enough functionality left to take it with me 24x365 so I'm quite fond of it :manwink:
