Will not send or receive calls

I bought an unlocked Storm 9550 series last week and it was working fine until yesterday.  It will not let me make or receive calls but yet I can still text.  When I do try and call it says "congestion".  Can someone help me?!

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!


Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.


If that fails, contact your carrier for assistance.

I have tried that serveral times : (  Another thing I noticed is on my dial screen where it says "My Number" it is not my number that shows up.  Although, when I click on the SIM Card option in my phone, it has the right one.  Could that be an issue?

Could be. I suggest you take it back to your place of purchase for service and warranty evaluation. Good luck!
