I am trying to sync my outlook calender and contacts etc... to my storm is there a way to do this.  I go into settings>>>advanced options>>>enterprise activation then its there for about an hour then it says retrying and just loops.  No idea if this is right so I was hoping for some help.  Thanks!

Is your Blackberry on a BES network,or setup as BIS for your personal phone?

What version of desktop manager are you using, and are you using the desktop redirector?

Please provide some specifics as to your configuration.

Im not running a desktop manager.  I would like to do everything OTA.  Is that possible?

To be honest Im not sure where to find if I am on a BES or BIS.  I am paying Verizon an additional 20 something dollars a month for an enterprise plan so I am assuming BES but not 100%.  And I have a disk for a desktop manager that came with my storm but I am not using it.

You are paying for a BES plan, but don't know if you have a BES server to work with. Interesting.

BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Solution) is a server/service/solution that is hosted internal to a firms network and provides the bridge between the corporate messaging system (e.g., Exchange, Notes, etc.) and the corporate BB's. BES can handle email, calendar, contact, memos, etc. OTA.

BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) is a server/service, hosted by your carrier, that would provide the bridge between various internet email services (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo, POP, IMAP, etc.) and your personal BB. BIS can only handle email OTA.

Desktop Manager is a software suite that can (among other functions) provide, for those using BIS, a way to, via USB tethered sync (not OTA), move the non-email things between the BB and your desktop PIM.

If your BB is your personal BB and you are not attempting to integrate it to a corporate messaging system, then my guess is that you have the wrong plan.

I think if you read this, you can see what we are driving at.

Post back after you've read the info, and we can go over it.

What I would like you to do is give us the "perfect world" scenario for your use of the Blackberry.

We can then work with you and make the best suggestions to get you where you want to be.

The perfect blackberry for me would be wireless syncing my email, calender, and tasks from my microsoft outlook. I have all of my appointments on my outlook along with an address book, etc... I want to be able to show all of my appointments when my calender is pulled up on my Blackberry.  I the only thing showing is my Facebook Friends' birthdays.  Is there a way to do this?  I talked to Verizon and they said the only way is to tell my companies IT department but then I wont be able to use my browser because of their security settings.  HELP!
