changing wireless providers

Hello, I own a Blackberry Storm 9530 that I purchased from Verizon Wireless 1 year ago ---- I have completely fulfilled my obligation with Verizon and now want to switch over to either AT&T or T-Mobile and, if possible, use this same phone.

I have asked Verizon this question but I think they are giving me the run around as they don't want to lose a customer to their competitors. Is this possible to use this Verizon phone with service from either AT&T or T-Mobile ??

Do these phones come "locked" and if so, how would I "unlock" the phone ??

Thanks

Re: changing wireless providers

Must be unlocked as referred to above, Verizon should give you the unlock code for free if you are still a customer in good standing with them. Otherwise, Horizon Wireless mentioned is a reputable unlocker.

Then, you will need to follow the directions I've set forth in this link below to make it work on ATT or Tmobile..
