You can't...the way it is built is one by one. My theory on the "why" is that the SIM contact list is a very poor substitute for the full BB contact list...the SIM can only handle one number per contact while the BB contact list has the full richness that it has. Further, if the intent is backup -- using the RIM desktop software for backup/restore is much more preferable. Further still, if the intent is to migrate the contacts to another device via the SIM, RIM provides a device switch wizard that accomplishes that without sacrificing the richness of the contact list.
