When I'm in contacts and in portrait mode using the multitap keyboard, it doesn't work. Sometimes it works and other times  I will tap twice and the third letter or first letter comes up - other times it works great. Is this a glich and where can I get the latest upgrade for the device and how do I install it?

Did not even know there were two already? I just got it two days ago but where is that info on the device?

My paperwork on the device is at my office so unless I can find the model number right on the device I won't know till tomorrow. Doesn't the software get updated when you connect with the desktop manager software?

Options>About will give you the model number of your device.

There are two models because there are two carriers.  9500 is for Vodafone and 9530 is for Verizon.

I have verizon so it's a 9530

So your upgraded OS will be the second link I gave you above to the 9530 OS.

Yes, you want to be connected to the USB to your PC at the time, following the instructions in that link.

I have this same issue - im on the latest os v4.7.0.78 (platform 4.0.0.98) , makes no difference.

Makes it very difficult to select contatcs etc - appreciate if anyone has a solution ?

I am having the same problem.   I also have the latest software (not the leaked upgrade that some talk about - not tech savvy enough to download the leaked one - waiting for the BB announced upgrade).  Still does not work.  Someone posted here that BB will be fixing this problem in the next upgrade. Lets hope - or this thing is going back.  Very upset about this.
