Hey mdelsanto, don't send it back just for that. I'm sure they will fix it soon and meanwhile just turn it sideways while in contacts window and use the qwerty keyboard for finding contacts. It's a hassle but works till they fix the multitap function

Here is a solution.

If in contacts, and the portrait keyboard is not what you want, i.e. suretype/mulitap. 

1. Get out of contacts

2. Compose a new text/email.

3. Hit options/BB key and change to the desired typing format.

4. Go back to contacts and you will have the typing format you selected.

The issue comes from, the original blackberry's had full qwerty keyboard, there was no reason for Suretype.
