Re: how to delete bookmarks?

l cromwell and xandrex, i believe (operative word) there is some confusion about bookmarks; and forgive me if i did not catch the response of someone who noticed sooner the following.

on my 9330, there are three different bookmarks: wap, carrier, and blackberry.  the directions given for removing the bookmarks work for the blackberry bookmarks but not for the carrier. i haven't tried it for the wap b/c i have no bookmarks in it. however, there are some carrier bookmarks i would like to delete b/c i have no need for them.

anyone know if it's possible to delete wap and carrier bookmarks?

Re: how to delete bookmarks?

indeed some bookmark folders are controlled by your carrier.
I find it pretty easy : all those folders are folded and I have put all my folders in the other working folder.

I have noticed the same. The bookmarks that I would like to delete are non-working, leading to dead pages. Seems odd that the carrier would leave such bookmarks in place, with no way to edit nor delete. I have been able to remove others, however, is there a fix or way around this in the works? Thanks

Re: how to delete bookmarks?

hello in4ex,

as far as I understand things, those bookmarks are enforced by your carrier. I do not know whether those are pushed through a service book, or simply added in your OS either when they put the phone in the box of when you do an OS upgrade using ATT's bookmarks.

Either case, the best way for you to have those bookmarks fixed is by contacting the ATT helpdesk and telling them to fix that.

I choose to simply not go into that bookmarks folder. I rarely browse my bookmarks anyway, I simply go in my bookmarks and start typing words to find the bookmark I want (the feature is called "find as you type").
