Re: non existant email message

Try this:

Keep the device turned ON and unplug it from anything.

Turn it over, take the battery out.

Its very important that you don't turn it off first.

Put batt back in and wait for it to auto load back on.

See if that fixed it

Re: non existant email message

wouldn't removing my battery wipe everything from memory like images, address book, settings, etc. ?

Re: non existant email message

No removing the battery is like rebooting a computer. All of your data will remain intact. If removing the battery does not work, let us know and there are a few other ways to remove that icon.

Re: non existant email message

Please remove the battery and follow my exact instructions above.

It will not do anything to your device other than fasten it up, clear any errors etc. NOTHING WILL BE LOST

It's seriously amazing just how much a hard reset (battery pull) can fix!

Re: non existant email message

Turn your BB over. Grasp it near the bottom on the right and left hand sides. You will feel 2 slider bars that you move up to remove the back.

BTW, I tried removing my battery and rebooted the Storm and the message remains.
