I've had my blackberry storm for about 6 months now, and I've always been able to play my audio files out of the speaker. for some reason, my audio files will not play out of the speaker anymore, but they work just fine with headphones. my text message alerts, ring tones etc still work. I haven't tampered with any sound settings. what's going on??

while playing, click the menu button and change the actiavtion option to speakerphone

I tried that. When I activate the speakerphone now I can't hear anything, but when its on the handset mode it plays very quietly even though the volume is at it's maximum.

yeah handset is your ear speaker, like talking on the phone. speakerphone is the speaker on the back which is what you want. what happens when you plug in earphones. have you tried using speakerphone when on a phone call?

when I use earphones, it works just fine. when I take the earphones out and speakerphone is activated, I can't hear anything. I tried using speakerphone while in a call and that works just fine as well.
