BlackBerry Protect

Help quick PLEASE!  My phone is DEAD:No:  I always have Blackberry Protect going.  I even checked it 2 days ago.  Why cant I pull up my backup?  Does my phone have to be on?  Cause I cant get it on.  All I want are my contacts.  Of course I cant use desktop because the phone wont come on.  Ive given up with the phone, so please dont tell me how to fix phone unless its gonna help me access my backup on Blackberry Protect.  I thought the purpose for the BlackBerry Protect was for situations just like this.  HELP PLEASE

Re: BlackBerry Protect

Hi and Welcome to the community!

The purpose of BB Protect is to restore your data to a functioning BB. It is not to enable access to your data, from BB Protect, from other than the BB. So, you need to get your BB running in order to access your BB Protected data.

BTW -- BB Protect is just one method of backup, and is intended as supplementary to the Desktop Software backup process. Not as a replacement.

Good luck and let us know!
