Contact List not Syncing

Discovered that a users BB has 2 contact lists both named Desktop. 1 is contacts that are syncing wirelessly and the other are contacts that were imported from his Standard feature phone back when he got the BB. The Standard feature “Desktop” list is not see on exchange, by Blackberry Desktop Manager, or any other tricks I have tried. It has over 152 contacts with multiple phone numbers on each so we are really hoping to get these moved over and properly syncing.

Re: Contact List not Syncing

Hi kdoll,

The following KB article should provide steps to resolve this issue with the duplicate contact lists on the BlackBerry® smartphone. "Duplicate desktop or unknown services are found in calendar or contact list options" http://bbry.lv/KuVfnD

Hope this helps.

Re: Contact List not Syncing

I don't have duplicate contacts, they just happen to be contact lists named the same thing and only 1 allows wireless Syncing. I think I will try deleting the one list that is syncing and see if it gives me the option to sync the other. Of course, the one that is not syncing has 3 times the contacts of the one that is!

Re: Contact List not Syncing

I have the same problem here, but I dont see sync in the option-advanced options-service book. I only see desktop. And also I dont have enterprise activation on my BB 8707v.
