Lost my AppWorld

Yesterday I was prompted by AppWorld and upgraded to AppWorld 4.0.0.63 (the newest version). I rebooted my device (Style 9670, current software) as instructed. Since then, I cannot find Appworld. I've checked all my folders and used universal search unsuccessfully. However, if I try to download it again, the device tells me I already have that version and asks if I want to replace it. I've replaced it, and didn't replace it on 2 different attempts to download it again... What happened and how can I fix it????

Re: Lost my AppWorld

This has worked for some users.

  • Go to Options > Advanced > Applications and scroll the AppWorld application and don't click on it, just scroll to it. Click Menu > Delete and remove the application.
  • Now, do a reboot: With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
  • Finally, use your BlackBerry browser to go to www.blackberry.com/appworld and download/install the AppWorld application again.
  • After installation and possibly another reboot, check your homescreen or another folder, or Downloads folder for the application.

Re: Lost my AppWorld

Thanks for the reply... I tried exactly what you suggested, but I still have the same problem. I can't find it anywhere, but if I try to download it again, it'll tell me it's already installed

Re: Lost my AppWorld

The current workaround appears to be to downgrade your AppWorld client to version 4.0.0.55. This can be done by visiting the following link in your browser

Yes the fix is posted above in this thread (and many others).
