Re: Mass Storage Mail

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!

When you say turn on this feature, your subject line is "Mass Storage Mail". I don't think there is any such feature. There is Mass Storage Mode and there is Email, but nothing like your subject line.

If you are looking for Email, see this BB101:

If you are looking for Mass Storage Mode, it might be different depending on your OS level, but those settings are usually on:

  • Homescreen > Options > Memory

If it's something else, then please let us know!

Good luck!

Re: Mass Storage Mail

Oh! Well, I completely missed that possibility!!

It might be the file size -- videos get very large very fast. BIS has limits as to the maximum attachment size. See this KB for reference:

  • KB03592What is the maximum email message size when using a BlackBerry Internet Service account

Good luck!

Re: Mass Storage Mail

Ok, I understand you here, when sending pics I have the option to send them as

"email, text message, facebook or bluetooth"

When attempting to send video the options are

"You Tube and Bluetooth", thats what I dont understand, is You Tube some

sort of server for F/B, is there something I need to enable on my phone or an

application that needs loaded.

The above are the options that came with the phone.

Thanks Again for your replies, they are very appreciated.

Re: Mass Storage Mail

Hmmm...interesting...so let's start here...can you do email on your BB at all? Do you have a full data plan from your carrier? Without that, your functions will be limited. See this FAQ:

Re: Mass Storage Mail

OK...do these steps then, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB):

1) Register HRT

  • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > blackberry_logo.jpg (it does not matter which line is current) > Register Now

2) Resend Service Books

  • KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service

3) Batt Pull Reboot

  • Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Please report back with the exact result of each step.
