Re: QR Codes

In order to scan QR codes, you need a QR code scanner, but you already knew that so let's move on.  Go to AppWorld, find one, and install it on your phone.  I've included a link to a free one.  There may be better ones and there may not be, it's up to you to decide.  I'm just making it easy for you to get one on your phone.

I hope that helps you.  :smileyhappy:

Re: QR Codes

I have BB Bold 9780. QR code scanning is built-in. Go unituitively to BlackBerry App World and 'Options' and you'll see 'Scan a Barcode'. The BlackBerry Messenger scan didn't work. Beware downloading scanning apps. They look like they try to access your private info. Beware of Jared Scanner Pro. Locks my BlackBerry and asks to access your private info. Could only get out of it by removing the battery.

Re: QR Codes

@gmaulucci, you make a valid point about the personal information.

I've used a couple of QR code scanners that asked for personal information and didn't have any problems.  In fact, many apps on my BlackBerry have asked for everything but what underwear I'm wearing and still no problems to date.  It's still good to be aware of this, though.

And as for the scanning directly from AppWorld, I actually didn't know that.  Thank for for educating me!  :smileyhappy:
