I looked through the previous posts and didn't see anything about this, hopefully I didn't miss it.
My question is: is there a way to continue recording a voice note while the phone is closed. I have tried and can't seem to figure if it's possible or not. I would like to be able to use the BB as a voice/audio recorder and be able to close the phone and put it back in my pocket or desk and not have it open. Is there a way to keep recording, or an app to do this?
Thanks in advance for any assistance

Hello jmlentz,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums ![]()
There is no setting to allow Voice Recording with the device closed at this time.

The previous question was from almost a year ago, so I was wondering if there was ever an update? If the flip phone is closed, will the voice recorder work?

On a side note, how long can you voice record for? How many minutes?

No there apparently is no way to record with the cover flipped closed. As far as how long you can record for, I suppose that depends on the amount of memory on your memory card.

Thanks for the reply. I'm just now, trying to learn about all the functions on the phone. I want to use the voice recorder for my class notes. How do you know it's actually recording? Is there an icon?
