Whenever I open my phone I get this message...

Whenevery I unlock my phone, not even browsing, just unlocking, I get this message "you are attempting to open a secure connection but the servers certificate chain is invalid."  I then have to select: Continue or Close Connection or View Certificate or Trust.  Any solutions, this is a pain?

Re: Whenever I open my phone I get this message...

Hey,

Welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.

To better assist you, can I have you select 'View Certificate' and then provide me with the information displayed? This may be caused by an application that has been installed.

Thanks.

Re: Whenever I open my phone I get this message...

Thanks,  it says:

.voip.blackberry.com

.unverifiable cert chain

.stale chain status

Revocation Status

  unknown

Trust Status

  explicitly trusted

Expiration Date

  Sat. Hov9, 2013 3:59:59

Certificate Type

x509     and it goes on  - as well I then have "Key Store Access" and Handheld Key Store come up requiring me to enter my pass code.  This is relatively new, I haven't downloaded any new apps - I had actually lost my BB App as I had updated it.  I have gone back to the older OS and it is fine now.

Hey eire604,

Do you have BlackBerry Messenger 7 installed? If yes, Go to Options> Device>Application management> Applications>  High light BlackBerry Messenger> Press the menu key> Edit Default Permissions> Set all to allow ,  then reboot and test.

Let me know if this helps.

Re: Whenever I open my phone I get this message...

Hi,

I am running BBM 7.0 (7.0.0.126 to be exact).  Did what you suggested, changed all to allow and rebooted and no it did not work, still going through the same process.

Ugh!
