There is a similar post about this subject earlier in the forum but has yet to be answered. So I am asking:
How does one modify the size of the home screen and /or applicaiton icons?
Dragging the modifier lines around only causes them to snap back to original.
Also, how does one use custom home screen and/or application icons?
I get an error stating that the file could not be opened with no explanation as to why.
Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: I just discovered the solution on my own. Thanks for reading.

if you could share the solution it would be helpful to a lot of people.

I did a google search and yielded this result:
This is the solution:
Include negative space around each icon and indicator. For example, if the icon appears on an 80-by-80 pixel canvas, create an icon object that is 68-by-68 pixels.
To change the size of the icons for screens 480x360 pixel, your icon background (transparent or colored) must always be 80x80 pixel and the icon image itself can then be any size, in any position within the 80x80 pixel background.

Forgot to add:
Your new icons must be imported into Theme Builder which in turn registers them as an available application icon.
After performing the above actions, any image can become an application icon by simply dragging the image from the catalog space to the application list space.

Is there any way to stretch the size of the 80x80 block on the home screen - I am only using 4 icons and there is a lot of white space. It would be great if I could have them be a bit larger and easier to see because of the extra room.

I think the 80x80 is predefined as part of the phone OS. Don't quote me however.

I don't know if this will be helpful, but for me I was able to 1) go to Options 2) Advanced Options 3) Accessibility 4) under Home Screen: change the grid Layout: your options are a) default b) 4x4 c) 3x3 d) 2x2 and e) 1x1. For my Tour 9630 this didn't change icon size on the home screen, but it did change size on rest of the menu icons. Hope this helps. It was driving me crazy.
