I've got theme builder going and it's been doing very well (till just the other day after installing an upgrade to the desktop software for my BB storm).
Since then the theme builder will take 30+ mins to load a theme, if it will load it at all.
I've tried creating new themes and importing (as suggested in another post).
I've got a lot of hours wrapped up in my themes and I'm going to be really bummed if I have to redo it all.

I have the exact same problem. I have been creating backup files of my themes (saving, closing theme builder, making a backup copy of the .thm file, then reopening the theme file in theme builder and continuing to work in it) and each and every time I do this it gets slower and slower to open, now it takes 30+ minutes and 500mb of ram 100% cpu usage to open... I don't know if this has to do with resaving it over and over, or if it has to do with my theme getting more complicated and larger in size (its about 5.6mb now, thats pretty small I think...?)... My theme basically only has 35 icons on the home screen and a custom home screen banner, thats it... so I don't know why this is happening. Building the same theme from scratch in Plazmic 4.7 never had these problems at all.
If someone could please provide a fix or workaround that would be great!

I have the same problem too.
Is this what they call support forum? Where are the RIM Theme Studio 5 developers? No one around here to help at all! Is this how RIM wants to treat the developers?

Hi Guys,
Give this a try.
Create a new theme of the same type as the theme file you are having trouble loading.
After the new theme is created, go to "File->Import" and import the original theme file.
Do a save using a different file name and try re-opening it. Hopefully, it will load quicker.

Has anyone tried sending (or posting) their problem file off to support?

Already tried that. The import time takes just as long as when trying to open it in the first place.

Where is that? Can you please post the links? So, not RIM employees roam this support forum?

Try mailing your theme file to devsupport@rim.com and reference this forum posting.
