BlackBerry Themes & Animated Graphics

Hello All,

I have been doing research with conflicting results using Google in regards to finding the best BlackBerry Model to develop themes for to sell on BlackBery World.

I have developed themes for mainly the Curve 8520, but im sure thats not the most popular to actually SELL themes for.. Seeing if you have enough money to buy a middle to end range model, you would also probably have the extra money to byt a theme...

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me whith this question!

i have been building themes for over two years and found that it always pays to make themes for the latest devices.

How ever i have done good with 9800 and now 9900.

I think you should focus on BB10 as of now. But I am not sure how the themes work on these devices. And if it is possible at all. Maybe something to look into. Because BlackBerry will probably start going from older versions of the BB OS to BB10 as much as possible.

BlackBerry OS 10 dose not support themes.

Personally I support pretty  much all OS6/7 devices. I dropped OS5 a while ago because I saw I didn't have many sales for the OS anymore. But one thing to consider is your audience. If you are from a certain country and you advertise to those in your country, you should investigate what devices and OSs are popular there. There are some countries that are still predominantly OS5. But surely supporting OS6/7 is a must.

Yes well unfortunately BB 10 Does not support themes... Apps are great for that

I have been developing for OS5 for a while and now focusing on OS6 

OS5 have made for some good payments in strange but true the typical 3rd world countries..

I suppose if you can afford a more expensive model then you can charge more for a theme.. Makes sense..

I develop from South Africa, yet my client base is typically most from the Netherlands, USA and Indonesia..

Now Im going ahead to do the OS 6 models, my main question tho is what actual models e.g. BOLD 98xx or Curve903xx etc..????. I will certainly  also include OS7 but I want to wait for that market to saturate...

What OS6 models do you find to be the most predominant ones to target for???
