Hey aksharviveksewrathan,

Welcome to the forums.

Before connecting your BlackBerry to your computer ensure you have downloaded and installed the latest version of the BlackBerry Desktop Software.

You can download the latest version from:

www.BlackBerry.com/DesktopManager

Hey aksharviveksewrathan

If you connect your BlackBerry using a USB cable are you able to use Mass Storage Mode as shown in this article.

How to enable or disable mass storage mode on the BlackBerry smartphone

Once Mass Storage Mode is enabled you should see the BlackBerry show up as a new drive.

Re: 9810 not media in windows 7 64 bit windows

Hi,  I  have the same problem. My 9810 and old 9700 shows disconnected in the desktop software, cannot transfer files.  I have enabled media card support.  I have enabled compression.  Is this a factor?  Not sure what happens if I turn compression off now.
