9850 : the official OS releases

[ Edited ]

Dear all,

I am opening this discussion in order to reference all the OS versions that have been released by mobile phone carriers for the BlackBerry Torch 9850 (GSM+CDMA). The 9850 is the CDMA version of the Torch touchscreen, without a keyboard, that features OS7 including Liquid Graphics, and an autofocus camera.

As a courtesy, I shall ask you to refrain from posting questions in this discussion.

RIM publishes OS versions to carriers, and after training & Q&A, carriers publish the OS. All those OS versions are available here:

http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

To this day, 4 OS versions have been released by 12 carriers for the 9850. Those OS versions are not compatible with the 9860 (GSM only).

You can find a step-by-step procedure on how to install an OS here :

http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...
