I use a TORCH 9800. After i recenthy updated my app world to 4.0.63, the app world icon is missing. I installed it, still not found, I tried HIDDEN options, tried RE-BOOTING, tried battery pull, nothing helped me. I found a page where there were 4 causes and 4 resolutions given. The first 3 i tried and no use. The 4 th option is to click the given URL and update the device software, but that URL itself is not working. The URL is mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=appworld3    I am totally exhausted. Will somebody show some interest in resolving this?

Are you clicking on the URL from your BlackBerry® Torch™ 9800 smartphone's browser? If so, what error message do you receive when you click on the URL? Does your data plan support internet browsing?

I had the same issues, after an upgrade on my BB torch the app world icon was missing, I tried the resolutions which didn't work so I went to Options, Application Management and deleted the BB App World then tried again from the URL mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=appworld3, and installed BB App World 4.0.0.55, tihs time it worked and the app icon appeared without even having to reboot, all my apps are now back where they should be!
