BB Torch 9800 - Black Screen

While trying to download the BB News application from your site, my BB Torch 9800 stopped working. It was in a continuous restart mode - as it tried to restart 3/4 down the road it would start again from the beginning over and over... until I removed the battery.

 

I put the battery back in and tried a soft restart with the Alt Shift Del key. Now the BB will not even attempt to start. I have found the black screen of death. Help!

BlackBerry Desktop Software is your lifeline in this situation.  Any recovery you'll do will come through BDS.  In order to connect to BDS, have a look at this article:
