Have a Torch 9850 on Sprint. Basically a year old now into a two year contract. There's a problem with the USB port. When I plug in the USB, there seems to be some "play" in the connection and it's not charging, but I think it may be drawing power as an AC adapter. Don't want to re-up my contract at this point and mess up my upgrade cycle. Besides, even if I did that now, only a year into it, the cost of a new phone'd be expensive. So, is there any easy fix for one who lacks the skills to open 'er up and fix it if need be? Or is there some other culprit to this supposed USB malfunction?
