Re: BB9860 White Screen

Hello!

I recommend that you attempt to boot into Safe Mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode

It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.

Failing that, these may be of use to you:

Good luck and let us know!

Re: BB9860 Same Problem

Hello...apologies for the delayed reply.

So, of the 5 things I provided you above, you only tried one? Sorry, but your response confuses me...please clarify.

As to knowing your installed BB OS version...if you can't boot up, then you would have to already have known that...in which case, attempting to recover to that same version would be challenging. Fortunately, you are not restricted to attempting recover with only the version you had running...any valid OS for your model BB should be fine.

Good luck!

Re: BB9860 White Screen

Hi There,

I also facing the same situation with you for almost 1 month. But it's over now maybe you could try the same way that I did :
visit http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f489/nuke-wipe-nal-os-all-one-script-1445534/ for the details.

I choose number 7 and it stucks when uploading NAL (I guess because I don't put the right file :smileyvery-happy:) but at least my 9860 is having new state where the led is blinking.

so I just run the loader process, and now I can play with my 9860.

cheers

Re: BB9860 White Screen

i followed this procedure, and it did got my phone to work! Thanks.

New problem is, it crashes at random, and i will have to run the process all over again, every time you hard reset, it freezes under the "e",... after running this process again, it will work for 3minutes then freezes, if you pull out the Battery again, it crashes.

My question to you is, has your phone been functioning preperly since?

Re: BB9860 White Screen

Hi Mackins,

Seems your BB has internal memory problem same with me. It never goes normal again.

But until now I still using my BB with one condition. never put the original OS,

because of internal memory has error (in PC its just like bad sector to our hard drive), and it's unrepairable, so i have to shrink my OS using BBH tool, so just load important programs and add ons to your BB. Mine is only BBM, APPworld, and email

good luck

New problem; after wiping and reinstalling OS, phone is unable to browse, even with an active BIS plan, Blackberry Service ( Capital EDGE, ) doesnt come up, i have tried different sims, and even flashed the phone severallt to no avail.
