All of a sudden yesterday, my bbm started asking me to verify my bb id. after it did, it kicked me out of bbm after a few seconds, saying "server is not responding. Please try again later." however, when someone bbm'd me, I was able to respond without any problem. I tried a few battery pulls, then finally uninstalled the app, and reinstalled it. Now, when I try to get on to BBM, it's stuck on "associating BBM with you BlackBerr ID, and once again, I'm stuck with "The server is not responding. Please try again later." And now I'm not able to acess BBM at all. Anyone know how to fix this?

My Torch 9810 also suddenly got the same problem yesterday.
I can still send and receive bbm, even use voice. However, the BBID verification login screen pop up on every step. Then an error message "The server is not responding. Please try again later". It's very annoying.
Please help anyone.

I finally get my BBM back online, in exchange i lost all my BBM contact
I connect my BB with Desktop Manager, update my software to the latest version, 7.1 Bundle 1672 (previously i have version 7.0)
After upgrading, i can use BBM again
Ths software did backup my device, but somehow it did not backup the BBM contacts. Because after upgrading, i got all my data intact, SMS, Mails, Contacts, Messages, History, Recently dialed number, even BBM groups. I only lost the BBM contacts
Anyway, my problem is solved now, but it create another problem which is, i lost all my customers BB
