I've found several cases of people complaining about this issue over the past few years, but no solution yet... My display picture updates on my phone but my friends have seen the same one for weeks. I tried backing up and restoring my contacts, pulling the battery, etc but so far no luck. They get my status updates but not my photo.
I am having the same problem. I uploaded a new OS on my 9780 and restored my backed up data. Everything thing was fine till I checked my BBM I noticed that all my contacts didnt have pictures. I dont think I did anything wrong, hope this gets fixed soon.
