Battery should not be less than 50%..WHY?!?!

My Blackberry Torch 9800 was given to me by a friend. He advised me to immediately charge the unit once the battery reaches 50%. If the battery will be emptied, it will take 3 days before it can come back to life. My question is, WHY? I mean, what's wrong with it? And what shall I do? THANKS!

it could be a battery issue, have you tried a different battery in it?

My battery has the same prob! Well its gets to 50-60% and drops to 8%... Have u found a solution, nobody does!
