Hi all,

I have a problem with my Blackberry ID. Bascically when I type it into my phone to change my email settings, my phone will come up with the following message: " The user name is invalid. A user name must be at least 4 characters long." despite the fact that my username is more than 4 characters long. However when I use my Blackberry ID username for the App World and when I use it on my laptop, it works fine and I have no problems so I don't understand why it ownt accept it when I try using it to alter my email settings.

If anyone knows what the problem might be or can suggest anything I can do then please let me know. Thanks.

Can you change the settings on the computer?  I also wonder if it would work from the phone using WiFi only if possible.

Well tbh it's not the email settings I want to change. What I really wanted to do was to add another email account alongside the one thats already there. To do that though my phone is asking me for my Blackberry ID details, which I know I have entered in correctly, but is still coming up with that error message.

ok, try this to add an email account:

From the device, go to mobile.blackberry.com
Scroll to Communicate and click on Email.
Click on Integrate now for the email service you want to add and see if that works.
