I am using a Blackberry 9860 and unfortunately the Maps is not loading... I noticed that the Maps never Worked in any of my Friends or Colleagues BB Handset???

Is this a known issue

Hi,

I have purchase BB 9860 and when i started using maps it wont show maps in satellite mode.....all i get is a black screen with green dot saying showing MY LOCATION......Is there a way i can start seeing maps in better way and can get clear directions.

As the above mentinoed link there is no coverage for maps in india....right...! So I guess I have to install third party apps like amaze or gogle maps and pay extra fpr them even after spending good amount of money for getting torch 9860. I guess that is the reason most of them opted and suggested me to for iphone or Samsung galaxy s2 or Samsung galaxy tad to get all in one at the time o purchase it self and don't have pay extra for most of the apps.

Google Maps is available for free on the BlackBerry like for any other os (android, ios). It integrates well with BB apps and general usage.

Any idea when this list of regions(contries) will be updated ?

Now India is not there in the list of countires supported by BB maps, when it will be added any idea?

Not sure if Blackberry is listening to us from India. I have read in many forums about BB maps not supported in India for quite a while.. infact for more then 2 years... really wish BB maps start supporting India...or should we say, its high time..
