My phone was always set on being "non discoverable" and a "Trusted" device. I have also tried the alternative options, but it makes no difference. I have virtually tried every possible Bluetooth option setting without making any difference. The only thing that works reliably is when you switch off the Bluetooth and switch it on again each time before you connect, but this is not really a practical solution. But this could be a pointer to where the problem is. I just wish RIM/BlackBerry would throw some light on it.

I have the exact same problems, it must be something with the bluetooth phone connection of BB. I realized, that I was not prompted to fill in the 0000 pin in the beginning, maybe that's something. And, the Audio service (music streaming) works, if I disconnect the phone service. And I also tried all kinds of combinations insettings like described in this thread.
Other phones have no problems.
I will contact the JVC support, but I know already now, what they will say: please contact BB. Is there any BB hotline? I did not find a contact so far.
The same problem by the way occurs with my Logitech handsfree headphones: again, all other devices work, BB does not.

If you find any solution, please let me know. I have tried everything under the sun and the only reliable "work around" that I have found is what I mentioned previously and that is if you de-select BLuetooth and then select it again each time, it will then connect reliably on the next occasion. However this is rather inconvenient and I desperately am looking for a proper solution. I have even considered reinstalling the older version of OS6 but am holding out in the hope that I will still find a solution.
The only other comment is that I have not had any problem with pairing that you have mentioned.
