Business email stop working

I have a Torch 9850. Last week I stopped receiving e-mails. I tried deleting then re-installing, called Sprint, called Blackberry, and Best buy and no one has been able to help. They say I need to install the outgoing server information, but there is not a prompt to do so. I believe I input all other information correct. Any thoughts?

Re: Business email stop working

Is your "business email" on BES server, enterprise or exchange email?

or who controls your "business email"?  Have you asked your employer IT person?

Re: Business email stop working

My business e-mail goes through Go Daddy. We do not have an IT person. It was working just fine until about 3 weeks ago, then stopped all together. It has been sending business e-mails for the last couple of days, 200 or more a day, but from 3-21-14. Today we are at 4-11-14.

I don't understand that. Today is May 7th. You say you are getting email from April 11th?

Have you followed the setup for your GoDaddy email here?

Re: Business email stop working

Yes, I did follow the set up from Go Daddy. I have deleted and and re-set up my e-mail at least 12 times using all options available. I have tried with and without SSL, I have tried using rimimap and just imap as well as pop. I did notice, I never get an option to set up my outgoing server in any set up. This is very frustrating and I am about to give up and get a different phone. I have used Blackberry for a long time just for the e-mail aspect of Blackberry, but this is unbearable.

Re: Business email stop working

Go to this and read:  http://helpblog.blackberry.com/2013/03/email-account-validation-tool/

Try that ^^ and see what you find.

I have a feeling this is a GoDaddy issue, not a BlackBerry issue.

Secondly... get Sprint to esclate this issue for you to BlackBerry Technical support. They should do that automatically for ANY issue they can't resolve immediately.

And "work" email to us is sorta vague... You are CERTAIN this is not an exchange hosted email account?

Re: Business email stop working

Okay let me be very clear. Work e-mail is my company e-mail which goes through godaddy.com. I log into it the same way I do for my personal e-mail through cox.net. No special server, no need to have an IT guy at our company, just a simple PC we use as a server. No other person at work is having this problem. I am the only one using a Blackberry. Sprint does not want to take resonsibility, Go daddy does not, Blackberry tech support does not even talk to me, they said, "You need to goes to your carrier and have them call us." As I said, "Sprint is no help." I even went to Best Buy, where I bought the phone and their Geek Squad could not help. Everyone keeps mentioning the out going server set up. I do not have the ability to do this. There is no prompt.

Re: Business email stop working

Again, why are you letting Sprint treat you like this? I would never.

login to your BlackBerry BIS account from the link above.

You should find an advanced settings page that looks like this.
