Camera use shuts me down

Recently, whenever I use the camera on my Torch 9800, the entire phone shuts down.  I have to remove the battery and reboot.

Anyone else have this problem, and more importantly, how do I fix it!

Re: Camera use shuts me down

Hi BarrieBB,

Welcome to the Support Community!

To resolve the issue with your BlackBerry® Torch™ 9800 smartphone camera, please try the steps in one of the following KB articles.
If you are using a Windows® computer, please try: http://bbry.lv/GI9beY
If you are using a Mac, please try: http://bbry.lv/J0UN1U

Please test to make sure your BlackBerry® Torch™ 9800 smartphone no longer shuts down when you launch the camera before you restore your backup file.

Hope this helps.

Re: Camera use shuts me down

Hi BarrieBB,

Have you already completed the clean software reload before testing again? If you are still having this issue after doing a clean reinstall of the BlackBerry® Device Software, then that would indicate that a hardware related issue. In that case, I would recommend contacting your wireless provider for other options.

Thanks.
