Hi,
Sadly this has procedure not solved my issue.
No matter what I do, this menu (email messages > Options) will not display. All other BlackBerry functions seem normal and available, but this problem has been the same since the unit was delivered and despite many hard & soft resets and various other attempts our IT dept has suggested, nothing has changed!
All other email functions work fine, I just have no 'Options' menu.
A co-worker has since told me I may need to upgrade 'firmware' which can 'apparently' be done over the internet but I don't really have any idea how to go about it - or indeed if that would be the answer...
Any other ideas??? :-(

I have a similar problem with my Torch 9810.
I cannot download or open attachments and there is no menu available on open emails.
If I resend the service books I have temporary access to the menu and attachments but it disappears after a short period.
I have checked and am running the latest version of the OS.
Any help would be appreciated.
Joe

Yes I have - both times you've replied... AND very carefully double-checked each step. The only thing I could NOT do during the process was within Step 4 where it says I should check/tick both boxes... Only the first box was available to check/tick. The other did not activate and only showed in the 'faded display' manner so I couldn't check/tick it. Otherwise I did everything as described.
I also performed a 'hard reset' I think you call it where I remove the battery whilst the unit is active and reinstall after a minute or so. Neither of these actions has changed anything so I still have the problem.
Some time ago I mentioned that a co-worker had suggested I "upgrade the phone's firmware" which I've asked about before in this forum and received no response. He seemed to think he'd done this with his model via the 'net' but I can't find anything that mentions this in the support services when I've searched. Having said that, I'm not familiar with this terminology as I'm pretty 'old school' and not very 'connected' with this stuff...
I've been thru this and other processes now quite a number of times both with my company's IT dept more than 6 times, a couple of phone dealers I've visited to see if THEY had any ideas (big, fat Zero there...), several well-meaning co-workers who've also had problems and now you guys, and am SO close to giving up... I could throw this thing at the wall it's so frustrating - but it's also very frustrating as I need those functions and am wasting time daily trying to work around not having them!! I had them on my 9700 and other users I work with don't have any issues with their 9700 and 9800 models.
So; any more ideas...??? Paul

Hi Krypto (feels odd referring to someone like that... :-)
Version appears to be v6.0.0.337, bundle 1165, Platform 6.4.0.142
Hope that's what you need.
Thanks, Paul
