Can't hear when calling.

I'm having problems with my Blackberry Torch 9800. I try to call people but my screen then goes black and I can't hear anything. There is no ringing noise and when the person answers they can hear me but I can't hear them. A lot of people who are experiencing these problems usually put their phone on speaker to hear it but I can't see my screen so I can't do that.

Please help.

It might have something to do with the light sensor in the trackpad not functioning properly and you touching the mute button on the screen with your cheek. These are only guesses, of course.

Let's start with a battery pull. Remove your battery while your phone is powered on then replace it.

I have took the battery out 3 times today but no difference, then i tried calling someone and pressing the mute button next to the lock button at the top of my phone but there's no difference there either.
Any other advice?
