I just got a Torch.  Love it, but I can't recieve texts.  I get the alert
and the flashing blue light, but when I check "messages" it says there are no messages
and then the flashing blue light stops. 

I can send texts, but can't recieve.  checked the firewall -
nothing is checked to block anything.  I even disabled the firewall.  no luck. 

any ideas?

Hi there-  I finally called AT & T and they helped me solve the problem.  For some reason my phone came with the setting to block incoming text messages.  go to options/security/firewall and see if there are any boxes checked under "block incoming messages".  If you have AT & T , then they had me send a text to 151 (put that in the "to" box) and it isa confirming email that I received after showing my texts were now working.
