My Device: Black\Berry 9800 smartphone (3G, Wi-Fi) 6.0 Bundle 2342 (v6.0.0.526, Platform6.6.0195)

Cannot connect to Wi-Fi

I hope someone can answer this for me. I have a BlackBerry Torch 6.0 Bundle 2647. When I go to the Manage Connections and click on the Wi-Fi Box and it changes from a box to my network name (George) and it is a green colour. I then click on set up Wi-Fi Network and it shows My network name (George) with a checkmark infront of it. I then go to Troubleshoot and click on Wi-Fi Diagnostics, and it shows what’s posted below. Please note under BlackBerry Infrastructure, Connecting, it shows Error. Why is this happening, why can I not connect? Please help me. George Warriner.

Hi samuigeorge,

 

Do you have a data plan from your wireless provider? If not, I would recommend verifying with your wireless provider if they require a data plan for connectivity over Wi-Fi®. If you do have a data plan, this KB article should help you with BlackBerry® Internet Service connectivity over Wi-Fi®.
