Have a 9850 verizon for 1 day. I recieve email, I can hear it when it comes in and I can see the header but it will not allow mw to open it. I was able to open an email setup confirmation from Blackberry but that is it. In addition I cannot surf the web or connect to the web. Verizon told me a defective phone but all else seems to work fine. Could it be a firmwear upgrade? Anyone have any idea's?

have you tried removing the battery while the phone is turned on? that's often the solution to any issues that your blackberry is having. this resets it, often restoring functionality. if not, you should see if there's an upgrade for your blackberry's software by installing blackberry desktop software on your computer and connecting your phone.
