First disable any radio (wifi/gsm/bluetooth)
Backup the BB with Desktop Manager
Remove the BB SIM card
Reload the OS http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste... or better http://crackberry.com/blackberry-101-lecture-12-how-reload-operating-system-nuked-blackberry

Setup the WIFI on the BB now you can browse the internet with WIFI.

Just clic on the link from this page http://tmobileuk.blackberry.com/rest/updates/tc/6.0/6.11.0324.1701/net_rim_bis_client_en.jad for english http://vodamy.blackberry.com/rest/updates/tc/6.0/6.11.0324.1701/net_rim_bis_client_de.jad for german or http://vodafr.blackberry.com/rest/updates/tc/6.0/6.11.0324.1701/net_rim_bis_client_fr.jad for french language it will ask you to install the software update. Do it and confirm.
Reboot the BB when required. If it reboot ok then restore your backup.
Put back in the sim card

Re: Email Setup Application 6.11.0324.1701

[ Edited ]

I just spent the whole day with this same issue with my Torch.

A nice guy from Singapore Starhub helped me to solve it.

If Swiss Army knife doesnt work there is another Java Option to help:

http://www.blackberryfreaks.com/downloads/JL_cmder/JL_Cmder%20v1.9.zip

No matter which option you use,   you will have to upload the OS again to your device, so you can get into your device.

Once your device is back on, instead of immediately going to the Email Account set-up, which then just asks for the update, which starts the whole cycle of problems again, do a complete security wipe of your device. Make sure you have backed up first.

on your device: Options - Security - Security Wipe.

Tick all options.

Once the device has wiped everything, rebooted then hopefully this time when you go to update the email account app it will work without problems.

It did for me.

GOOD LUCK - what a waste of a day

Re: Email Setup Application 6.11.0324.1701

I've always used loader.exe with the battery pulled out. Instructions there http://crackberry.com/blackberry-101-lecture-12-how-reload-operating-system-nuked-blackberry the catch is you need to have a backup this will wipe everything.
