The version 6.0.0.448 is still available on Orange France. Anyway the problem is not the OS version but the update was or is corrupted.
Maybe everyone should greenlight his language version.

Hi!

 

After 6 reinstalls I found a temporarily solution:

Im running an OS 6.0.0.448 on my 9700. Language German!

Now, it's telling me again to do the update that already wasted 2 days of my life...

 

Has anyone actual information if it'd working again.

 

Don't want to wait for RIM as they're just do one thing: "Ask your provider" - great idea :smileysad:

I've tested with my Torch setup in german. I hope it will also work on your 9700.

I've hit this problem today, I bought my torch yesterday and restored the backup from my previous 9700 which set up my three email accounts. Got the regestration email from blackberry then...nada!

 

I went into the email update application and it asked me to download the update, kept warning me that I was replacing files and that it may not work afterwards, hah, what did I care! I carried on and behold, 606.

 

So reinstalled the OS and restored again and contacted Three. Very nice but not a clue! So they are going to contact someone at blackberry about it I hope and phone me back.

 

I also can't register my phone at 3uk.blackberry.com 

 

I wonder if I can get my money back!!! MOST dissatisfied!!

 

Re the link you suggested, what is the best way to use it? I got it on my phone and opened it but it just conntected tot he web but couldn't make a connection. Am I doing something wrong?

EXCITING development.

 

On my torch, with the wireless on, I pointed my browser toward the http://mobile.blackberry.com website.

 

On the menu under Communicate I clicked on Email.  

 

I then scrolled down to Other Personal Email and clicked on Integrate Now.

 

It then came up with a page saying Integrate your Email and I clicked Launch Email Setup

 

It then sent me to a page where it had the three email addresses I had already set up and required me to validate them. Once I did this it stared to download my email.

 

It ALSO has the option to Add An Email Account.

 

Hoorah!

I am having a similar issue with the same download in the UK from T-Mobile...

 

Basically, it has prompted me to update to 6.11.0324.1701, when I tell it to update it then comes back with the following error message '907 Invalid COD HTTP Error 413: Request Entity Too Large'.  The download link is:  http://tmobileuk.blackberry.com/rest/updates/tc/6.0/6.11.0324.1701/net_rim_bis_client_en.jad

 

Now it wont even let me access any e-mail setup application nor will it let me look installed applications on the phone.

 

Any suggestions??  New to the BB Torch so any help would be appreciated.

Put the BB in fly mode.
Backup the BB.
Reload the OS with loader.exe
Setup the WIFI
Go to http://tmobileuk.blackberry.com/rest/updates/tc/6.0/6.11.0324.1701/net_rim_bis_client_en.jad (I've tested this URL ok on my Torch) from your BB
Update the Email Setup Application and reboot the BB
If it reboot ok restore the backup then put back the sim card and you are ready to roll. If it doesn't work try the url on my first post.

i'm sorry... im new to all this...

im on vodafone in the UK, tried to update my email account setup application, but it failed 1/2 way through and now the button won't do anything.

however, my phone is still fully functional, i just can't add new email accounts.

how do i run the .jad files?

i tried accessing that link from my BB, but it just comes up with a white blank page.

could someone pls provide some clear instructions for new BB users not use to all the troubleshooting!
