I occasionally send email messages to myself as reminders - when I compose an email message on my Torch 9800 and start entering my name in the "To" field, I select my name off the contact list, however the email address "behind" the name is support@gamez-gig.com. When I view my contact info everything appears correct and when I search for the "bad" email address it isn't found. I've also searched my gmail and hotmail contact lists (which sync to my Torch) and the bad email address is not found.
How is support@gamez-gig.com being injected into my email address on a message compose? This only occurs when selecting my name from the suggested options when composing a message.

Delete your contact info from the phone and readd from scratch.

Try this...
Open your Messages folder > press the Menu key > Options.
click on Message Display and actions.
Scroll down to "Show Recent Contacts When Composing Email" and turn that OFF, or unselect it.
That option shows names of users you've recently received mail from and sent to. Perhaps that will clear that address off.

Removing the "Show Recent Contacts When Composing Email" worked like a charm. Thanks.
I'm still curious as to why the "bogus" email address is associated with my name in my "recent contacts" though.

Don't know.
I never understood the bogus/hack/spoof part of your question.
Anyway, you got it, good luck.
