Email search facility

I own a blackberry Torch 9800 and the search facility within the emails is not functioning properly. I used to be able to highlight an email and then click search and this would then bring up all emails from a particular person or subject etc. When I try and do this now the search facility tries to search, but nothing happens. Any help would be appreciated, thanking you.

When any problem creeps up on your phone, always start with a battery pull.  Remove your battery while your phone is powered on then replace it.

It has worked thank you! I had already taken my battery out several times, but probably only for about five seconds, this time I left the battery out for about one minute and it seems to resolved the problem! So thank you for your help, much appreciated.
