hello, i have a problem with seting up my email. when i go to setup>Email accounts, it says 'checking for updates then connecting to email settings' from there it says 'your device is not registered' even though im connected to the BIS network. is it my OS which im using which is 126.96.36.1995?

Currently are you able to use any other BlackBerry Services like BBM ? To register your device :
When it is done go to set email setup , if problem remains then call your carrier and make sure that your BIS has been properly configured
