Encoding on emails

I am having trouble sending emails from my BB torch. Everything comes out encoded and unreadable from any other device - unless I send it from my att.blackberry email account.  Any ideas?  I have taken the device to the AT&T store, but they "fixed" it so that the return email is a spam account.

Say what?

You need to remember one thing up front, your BlackBerry ONLY sends pure text emails... no HTML or anything.

So, I'd be very curious what you're seeing with all this 'encoding'.

Re: Encoding on emails

For example - it says Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary = "part 23598-boundary- a series of numbers

the return address says SRS0=ITMsVj=4L=okcu.edu=damay@srs.bis6.us.blackberry.com, not my actual email address

then - Content-Transfer-Encoding: base 64 then

RnlpDQpTZW50IHZpySBCbGFja0Jlcn etc.

And then another series of numbers and letters that are unreadable

Re: Encoding on emails

Yea your email server is adding all that stuff, not your BlackBerry.

It's an exchange server with university?

Re: Encoding on emails

Yes it is - should I talk with our technology people and see what they think the problem is?

Re: Encoding on emails

I would do that. Meanwhile, also check the BTSC knowledge base...
