So more CPU % means more battery consumption ?

Can't you buy a bigger battery with a faster charger? Some companies offer a thicker battery and a diffrent back cover for their phones, Like Samsung! Does BlackBerry? ![]()

Hi knottyrope & others,
I have just changed my Bold 9700 to Torch 9800. Love it so much......unfortunately the battery life is shorter, which I have expected since the bundled battery (1300 mAH) has lower capacity than Bold's (1500 mAH)....
There's a 3rd party company here in M'sia selling this 1850 mAH battery for our Torch. My questions are:
* can we use this by replacing our original battery?
* is it technically safe to be used?
Please advise. Many thanks........
Cheers

Hi KC, I'm gonna recommend not putting a non BB factory made larger battery unless knottyrope or one of the other gurus say differently. I've read other forum posts by seasoned members advising against aftermarket batteries because BBs are not made to handle them.
Hopefully, the gurus here can shed more light on non OEM batteries.

I also find that if I have certain social media apps running in the background, it just drains the battery within hours! Especially the social media apps which poll various services continously for updates.

All the talk about removing and stopping Apps....I removed "Smartphone V2" from apps and instantly my life has gone back to normal BUT what are the implications of removing that app??? Any ideas?
