Hi,

I just upgraded my Blackberry 9800 Os from 6.0.0.706 to 6.0.0.723. I am based in India.

After upgrade the google maps is not working. When I start it says 'Serious error. Please exit and restart'.

I rebooted my device, but no improvement. I deleted and reinstalled the google maps, but still no improvement. I get the same error.

Can anybody help me.

Hi Badan,

Try uninstalling the Google Maps app from your smartphone and reinstall it again. After that have a device reboot.

Finally i've founded way to get my Google Map back to work.

Simply use the Google Map version 3 and you can forget about the stupid "Terms & Conditions" step.

[Update] Even better news: after first successful run of v3 you can update to v4.5.3 and it'll get back to work normally .

thx tanzim, your dl.google..... post, finally helped me resolve my problem.

if folks are having issue's even with the dl link, try when downloading to "set application permissions", don't change anything though. (and always when opening Google Maps, choose "proceed anyway")
