Has the zoom been improved reading PDF's?

Hi,

We are thinking of getting a Torch, but before we do;

Has anyone been able to zoom in on PDF's so that they are clear to read?

The earlier BlackBerry's you could zoom in, then it was changed so that it became unreadable on one of the updates, has this been fixed with OS6?

..and if it does work, is it ok with the Pinch to Zoom

Thanks.

Re: Has the zoom been improved reading PDF's?

with BES I am able to zoom in quite a bit and then it gets a lil fuzzy because of the distiller of BES.

Pinch to zoom works well.

Re: Has the zoom been improved reading PDF's?

I've had no issues zooming in on PDFs. I have done side-by-side checks with my Torch and my iPhone (company supplied) and find them virtually identical. The iPhone is a bit quicker.

I've also gone to the premium Docs To Go PDF reader to open natiive PDFs (ones stored on the media card, not in an email). It works great. As a challenge, I even opened a 23+mb PDF from my media card. It took a bit longer, but worked!

Pinch to zoom is good.

Re: Has the zoom been improved reading PDF's?

I have a brand new Blackberry Torch 8300 and can not read any PDF's.  The error prompt says:

"The attachment type cannot be viewed on your device".

So I assume I need to download an Adobe Reader Mobile version somewhere.  I will scan through the apps and hope I can find it for free.  I can't believe how much AT&T charges for apps when iphones and droids all have so much free software.  :smileysad:

the AT&T app store will be expensive, there are better deals around.
